The Vintage Racing League is the leading online community for people who love racing and cars. Its free to join.
Members connect with people that share a love of specific marques or types of cars (e.g. Vintage, Historic, Classic, Antique,Formula Ford, Can-Am, Trans-Am, GT and/or Historic Formula One cars).
The VRL helps members find difficult to locate parts, restoration resources, race events and car clubs in your area.
You can exchange pictures and race videos and find "same car soulmates".
I look forward to seeing some of your vintage race video's.
FYI - I'm the co-founder of The Vintage Racing League.
I owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford. I currently own and race a 1980 March Formula Atlantic and intend to rebuild and race a 1977 Shadow DN8 F1 car.
I race with CVAR in the Southwest.
I live in Dallas.
VRL Factoids:
An estimated 4 million people in the USA own Vintage, Historic, Classic and Antique cars (10 million world-wide).
The USA is home to 79 million Baby Boomers. Every day, 50,000 retire.
There are 27 Vintage Race Clubs in the US that stage an estimated 170 events per year.
Today, approximately 30,000 members in the 27 Clubs race Vintage cars.
We want to get more people into Vintage racing and a primary purpose of this site is dedicated to that goal.
Even if people do not race, they are welcome to attend events and learn more about the compelling nature of motorsports and it's history..
About: WWW.THEVRL.COM
We created a place where owners and lovers of vintage, historic, classic and antique cars could find each other, exchange pictures, videos and information about how to fix, restore, and race cars.
Ask your friends to join the Vintage Racing League @ www.thevrl.com.
Feel free to create new groups, post pictures for us all to share and share the site with your friends.
Welcome to the Vintage Racing League.
Warmest regards - Stephen Page

Thank you Stephen. You have a great site! Lots of very interesting resources.
The Thunderbird is owned by someone else. He isn't a racer. He had me drive his car for the 2003 VARA season. We did very well considering it should have been running against solid axle Corvetes, etc. but we were in with Stingrays, GT350s and Cobras. Tenth overall at VARA's Big Bore Bash that year. I also had a great duel with ex-Cobra factory driver Allen Grant in Portland. He was driving a very nice 289 Cobra. I'll post a picture.

Thanks for the reply Steve.
The PPIHC has banned me from posting any photographs on the internet or selling anything for a profit. A year before the 2009 race I inquired as to racing in the race and after finding out some info. I told them I would come this year to the race. I was at the 1st hairpin after the paved road and the shots I got were great. Many drivers that I showed the pictures wanted to buy them. Now the problem!!! The PPIHC thinks I was coming in the backdoor to see photos for profit so I am on hold as to selling of any photos.
I have even made a 40 page book about the race (unofficial of course). If any of the drivers are interested in them I can send a small file but because I work with a photo lab that prints on a special paper I want to keep that control. The prints I have made on this paper makes the gravel area look like the cars are running on GOLD.
I am still in the process of refining my Jeep for Pike's Peak and would run the Vintage class or Open 4wd class. My Jeep would not set any records but would be one hell of fun race to be a part of. Will get a picture of myself and the Jeep when the snow goes away in Minnesota.
Thanks again, Tom Malone
Thanks Stephen, great to be a part of an enthusiasts group. I'll try to get round to posting some more pictures and stuff. The Crossle is currently being refettled ready for the spring. Trouble is its -7c out there at the moment and the workshop is unheated!!
Mark
Thanks Stephen
I found your site by accident-looking for vintage stock cars and clubs that could join our racing efforts here on the east coast. I would love to have any info and or input you can offer. Check out our website: tarheelvintageracing.com
Great photos of all the cars on your site.
Stephen, Wanted to let you know that we have 29 spots available at the (Team Oly Express) Chateau for the Le Mans Classic 2010 (July 9-11), 4 nights 5 days, pit, track and VIP parking passes go with the packages for $1200 US/person. There is very little space left, so we have to let these go first come first served basis, if you or anyone on the Vintage Racing site would like to have more info give me a call at 360.402.0171. Unfortunately we tried to get more space at other area Chateaus but all are booked, this is all we can muster. Should be a fantastic show in 2010, 450 races cars and 6000 collector cars - all in one spot ! Thanks ! D*** Pierson
hey, all.
I will make more of a habit visiting here.
I am building a '70 2L. powered full tilt GTV race car this winter. It will be for sale. I would like to build it for someone. If not, I will just have to keep it and come out next summer an wuppass on a bunch of y'all.
That one's an extra GTV, more behind it... and of course, I am willing to share lots of know-how from my 30 years of racing these wonderful cars.

I was sorry we missed at Goodwood, I did send and email to say that I would not make friday at c 1100. I did try to look out for you but very difficult with so many around. What a weekend, I was sorry not to be racing in the Mini race but the car is not FIA'd.
Have a great Christmas and new year and hope to meet up sometime next year.
Keep up the excellent work on MyVrl it improves by leaps and bounds each month.
Kind regards
Conor
Hi Stephen: Glad to be a part of this endeavor! Actually, this is the second time I joined--the first time, I had to join nder my work email address: jeff.brown@emerson.com. I was having problems getting my racing email address working--jb@50-50racing.com, but we're past that now, and I re-registered and looking forward to participating! Actually, you may delete the account under jeff.brown@emerson.com, since I have my "permanent" account now, and besides, I am looking forward to retirement from Emerson in about 18 months!!! Thanks! And, a very Merry Christmas and Happ Holidays to you!
Thank you Stephen – I am so pleased you like my paintings and grateful to you for creating a page for me. I have only ever been to car events in Europe but would love to be able to market my work in the states - hopefully your site will enable me to do this!
How long are you in London for? I am in town on 4 & 5 January. If you are still around perhaps we could meet for a coffee, otherwise I will be at Goodwood FoS and The Revival.
Thank you, Stephen...glad to be a part of this wonderful club and website...I've been enjoying sports car racing since the late 70's at Daytona 24 hrs...prior to taht, I was basically a dirt car (sprint, midget and USAC) fiend, and then NASCAR drew me in...but when I saw the old prototypes on the track at Daytona in the 70's-80's, I became hooked on endurance racing...
Thanks Stephen, I started our vintage club this past year and it is growing superfast. Check out our cars @ tarheelvintageracing.com. We are scheduling some great events in 2010 with racers reunion, Memory Lane Musemum and several others. Darlington Raceway is going to be great in 2010. Did you know about that event. It is totally vintage! Let me hear from you!
Ken
Thanks Stephen... I have a long history of interest in sports car racing, all the way back to when I was about 10 or 11 years old and I went to my first sport car race and smelled burning Castrol "R", I was hooked.. I worked for and know Pete Lovely. His race shop, now owned and operated by Butch Dennison, was a favorite hang out when I lived in Tacoma, Washington.. Butch did a lot of the fabrication work on my various gokarts and also worked on the superkart team for which I was crew chief. You can see a bit of that at www.ravens-roost.com/ofr/ofr.html...
Dear Mr. Page
Happy New Year
Flattered though I might for a moment be to receive a "friendship" invite from a woman younger than myself, I note that she is not at all selective. Am I the only one to fear that Allyson Powell bears a similarity of intent to Alicia Wood?

Howdy- thanks for your interest in the 1952 Jensen parts.the car is just a body shell (front clip, rear section, roof, cowel, doors, lids, rear window, emblems, hubcaps) there are no floors,or frame...there is the rearend, wheels, all breakdrums, and lugs, front a-arms with shocks,hubs,etc..that along with the complete engine/driveline is whats left.as mentionedthe driveline was $3000.00 plus crating/shp,and with the body and other parts the whole package would be $4500.00 plus crating/shp thanks for asking mb
Hello Stephen,
Well I purchased the 69 Merlyn 11A that Don (speedstar) was selling for a customer.... Will be taking the school at the end of Feb.... See you at Hallett
Dennis
Thanks for the welcome, I will post more info as I get a chance. The bike is a bit worn out, most of the parts are going to be cloned onto another bike this season.
Stephen,
Thank you for the power point. I photo copied it and presented it to the group. Alex Stuart ,NAACC marketing, will be in contact with you soon as he has a very good business proposal for you
Thanks Stephen. I will get around to doing a bit of personalising etc. We did in fact meet at Goodwood and chatted for a while in the sunshine at the Media Food tent. I was going through some bits at the weekend and suddenyl found your card!
I just wonder - is my 1989 firefly (Electric) Vintage? I know 3 years back when I got it - it didn't pass the test for Vintage Insurance by 1 year - so It might be now! (Or was that just Classic? I don't remember!)
Steven - thanks for the welcom - good tip on joining the other vehicle clubs.
Other Sites I like are 3cylinder.com and ecomodder.com
Thanks on both counts. Looks like a great site, glad to find it, your sponsors and links are my bookmarks and favorite magazines. I will take a look at the groups, photo, and video options.

We are off the mark and not on the same wave length. I ended up populating the Fan Page of The Texas Museum of Automotive History on Facebook with my Jaguar people.
