Fan of cars through out the ages, naturally must be petrol, racing cars, grand turismo and sports cars, road and track. A preference for closed wheels rather than open. Preference for 2 seaters, then four-up followed by single seaters.
I have worked in the motor industry for all my working life, and have no wish to change.
I have worked as an engineer and designer in car manuifacturers, I cannot draw to save my life, though I develop the surface materials for the inside and outside of cars. This is a great job!
What car(s) do you own?
Currenty I own a BMW 130, strictly for the road and rather boring.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I like to watch races, the Goodwood Revival, attend Concour D'Elegance, photograph & film, collect book, films, models and memorabila about cars.
I am a regular fan of Radio Le Mans who broadcast throughout the year on motorsport in general with a healthy bias towards the various Le Mans Series around the world and many of the 24 hour races. A great source of information is their Midweek Motorsport Facebook Collective. http://radiolemans.com/ http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5508588715 (for the Midweek Motorsport Facebook Collective, we are currently at just over 650 people!)
What clubs do you belong to?
BMW Classics, Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club and Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
To be honest I really like to watch, smell, hear cars with souls. I have been driven in a number of great cars throughout the ages but have never actually owned one of these great cars. I have also had various expert driving courses, though have never had the chance/balls to race in reality.
This is what Christopher Tate of the Masters Series wants me to forward to you:
