Members connect with people that share a love of specific marques or types of cars (e.g. Vintage, Historic, Classic, Antique,Formula Ford, Can-Am, Trans-Am, GT and/or Historic Formula One cars).
The VRL helps members find difficult to locate parts, restoration resources, race events and car clubs in your area.
You can exchange pictures and race videos and find "same car soulmates".
I look forward to seeing some of your vintage race video's.
FYI - I'm the co-founder of The Vintage Racing League.
I owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford. I currently own and race a 1980 March Formula Atlantic and intend to rebuild and race a 1977 Shadow DN8 F1 car.
I race with CVAR in the Southwest.
I live in Dallas.
VRL Factoids:
An estimated 4 million people in the USA own Vintage, Historic, Classic and Antique cars (10 million world-wide).
The USA is home to 79 million Baby Boomers. Every day, 50,000 retire.
There are 27 Vintage Race Clubs in the US that stage an estimated 170 events per year.
Today, approximately 30,000 members in the 27 Clubs race Vintage cars.
We want to get more people into Vintage racing and a primary purpose of this site is dedicated to that goal.
Even if people do not race, they are welcome to attend events and learn more about the compelling nature of motorsports and it's history..

Thanks for the invite. Your auto period and mine are quite a few years apart but we both burn rubber down the road while others watch. If any of your guys need a newly manufactured (as if any would use an ebay one) license plate, give me a look up. Meanwhile, Auuga

Are you available on Tuesday eve next week for a NTMAH tour?

    Stephen,

I will have the Life Skills "First Pass" ready for Thursday. I've also reached out to Interstate and hope to hear back from them soon! ASE looks great, the Modules are easy to use and informative. They are very electronic, which means taking the information for Work Skills will be difficult. However something similar or the very same would be perfect for the Curriculum.

Northwood sounds like a great opportunity!

    Sincerely- Eric

Thanks Stephen for the contact of Robert Metcalf.

I am traveling to Europe and U.K. in June/July and would be interested in attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England in early July. May be able to catch up with you at this event. I notice there is a site on the internet where I can purchase tickets. My wife and I are traveling to Austria for a sporting event which we participate in. It is the European Senior Tennis Championships and my wife is world ranked in her age category. She also plays for Team Australia in World Championships. Looking forward to more contacts. Hi Stephen,   thanks for hooking up as i am convinced networking is very important in life. Great to see you using a March race carand its worth noting that i know a lot of the orignal March employees and no doubt some of them had a hand in building your car. My racing worklife started in the early Reynard days where i rapily rose to cheif mechanic of a 6 car FF2000 works team. I then went moved into race car fabrication that catered for many big Oxfordshire teams including March.

After a time away from motorsport i have now returned and concentraitng on building up my business that caters for classic/historic race car fabrication/restoration/preperation.

Have fun this year and maybe i will see you at Goodwood.

Kind regards and congratulations for an excellent website

    Hi Stephen
Thank you for the invite to join the VRL. Your site looks tremendous and it certainly enjoys extremely high participation. The MG Car Club in South Africa has some very passionate "Racers" and a long racing history. I'll certainly pass the invite to our members and hope to meet them soon on the VRL forum.
The MG CC Northern Centre had a very succesful Valentines day celebration Run yesterday. We were joined by the Triumph Sport Car Club and had a total of 49 cars (including 2 Ferrari's) on the Run to Askari Lodge. I'll post some pictures on the blogsite http://enginenut.blogspot.co.za for interest.

    Hi Shephen,

Your website is very thorough.  Lots of good information.  I do think that the look and layout could be a little more modern.  I would like to direct you to this website and its very fresh and clean feel.

I have found that the minimalist approach is best.  Can be really inviting.

    Other than that, GREAT JOB!!!

    Stephen,

How are you?   I added my newest play toy to the picture lineup.  Picked it up in Houston earlier this week.   It's not vintage but it definitely is a little race car.

  • Dom Miliano

Been scanning some vintage images - have pictures going back to (gulp) 1972.

    Hi Stephen,

We ALWAYS go to both the Revival and the Festival of Speed, we have never missed one event! Lord March is so very kind and sometimes sends a Christmas card! We donot have a stand at the events as thereis too much to see and we don't want to be in a fixed spot all day long. If you or anyone else wants to see any of the mascots we can put them inour car and take them to show you. For security reasons it is best to meet up at Bonhams auction house/marquee on the Friday.

Let me know please/note: Modern Lalique is made of Chrystal glass (which has a lead mix in it). Pre-war is of pure glass.

  • Maria Teresa Torres

    Thank you!

    Hello Stephen,

Two of the vehicles are sold; the MC12 and the Jaguar XJR. Unfortunately, they are not wanting to move the Bugatti 73 TC or the Jaguar Saloon at this time. Thank you for checking. Have an excellent weekend.

Hi Stephen, I will gladly accept your friend invit but not sure where in this site I can respond. The link in my Email takes me to friend invite only.  Sorry, but I am new to VRL and just blundering around!!- M. Rauchfuss

    Hi Stephen.

What a fantastic website! Lovely people, great drives & comments. Hope to see as many of you in London in September of this year for the show, go to: www.brmmbrmm.com/lbcc.bb and click onto 'Events listings'

  • Mason Christian

    Hey Stephen,

glad I got accepted to myvrl.com! This looks like a great website with lots of fun info to read about. I am a friend of Michaela Jakobi and after she recommended this site, I thought I would join. I do not own any vintage race cars or any thing like that, but I do have a couple vehicles and probly share the same passion everyone here does! This is great, and thanks again!

    Mason

By the way, I almost put a Jensen Interceptor on my list of desired cars, awesome car!

  • Retired

Hi Steven, Just got accepted. Now it's time to restore my 1960 Lola mk1. Now that I am retired my friend and I are working to restore it. I need the original wheels for it, it was vandalized when I got it and parts were taken. It is the same rims that were on other cars, Lotus, Elva, Cooper, etc from around that time period. If you know anyone that might have them let me know. I love British cars as well as a friend of mine. It is great to belong the organization.

Thanks Stephen. I just entered the 2011 Concours d'Elegance of America, held at Meadow Brook Hall for the last 32 years and now moving to the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, MI.

Hello Stephen, I must tell you I REALLY like the new look of the TMAH website...much more user friendly.

Of course, one can't go wrong with pics of heavily laden tables of delicious looking food. :)

It was interesting to see the DRW sports car. (Bob Diggory). Being an ex Lotus employee I new Dave Warwick, Jack Murrell, and another "DRW ex Lotus" chap, Geoff Oliver. I ended up working in the same mews and often used to race against their sports cars driving the Dan Margulies Lotus 7. Great days.

Hello, thanks for the welcome! I'm looking to purchase a Jaguar XK120. Prefer a roadster. I wonder if you can help me find an honest and knowledgeable person to help me find a good one. I know very little about these cars and do not want to get taken! TVB

Thank you, sir! I love VRL!

    Best regards,

Stephen, don't know if you have heard, but Pablo's Stanguellini was stolen from in front of Kermit's house last Sunday night.  The truck and trailer were recovered, minus the contents of the trailer (a special handicapped-equipped go-kart was also taken).  Kermit has peppered the internet with a stolen car alert, but short of a miracle, the police have no leads.  The VRL public needs to be aware.

    Hello

I hope you don't mind me contacting you.

I found you nam,e through a search on Ashley 750 specials and notice you are an Interceptor owner as I am.  I have just aquired an Ashley 750 so am interested in any information I can find, have you any experience with them?  I'm also interested in your interceptor have you had it long which model is it?  I have a Mk III G series.

I'm actually in the UK so hope it's OK to have joined this group which I think is mainly US based.

Looking forward to hearing from you, best regards,

    Nigel.

  • Rachael Bowser

Great thank you! i will get to work on that
  • Hunter Nigel Russell

Hello Stephen. Great site, thank you. I'am researching the histories and races of the Gemini FJ built by the Chequered Flag. I had lots of information and help from the old Gemini Mk2 owners in Texas on the cars they and there friends ran in period. Currently working on the Canadian Gemini's. Any leads on old racers or Geminis histories you or the members can give me would be much appreciated.

    Cheers Nigel

  • Christopher G. A. Schurrer

Hello Stephen. I will and thank you for the welcome.
  • Ben Deutschman

Apparently the Links in your earlier E-Mails were the problem. The Hackers must have screwed with those Links, so all of them lead to their scam Website version of the VRL.
  • Jeff Taylor

Thanks for the "like" and for featuring my Mercedes Painting!  I really appreciate it!
  • Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton

So how do you like living in the states? This is one of the coolest sites I have ever seen, and one of the most sophisticated ones by far! You think you could do something for Formula One? Great site! I will be uploading all my photos to this site going forward.

    Cheers!

Thank's, A very nice web site. I hope to add a bit of history here with the historic race cars. My brother owns a Anson SA3 Super VEE car. Only 7 made, and this one seems to be the only one left in the world. The car was designed and built by Gary Anderson.
