About Me:
The Vintage Racing League is the leading online community for people who love racing and cars. Its free to join.
Members connect with people that share a love of specific marques or types of cars (e.g. Vintage, Historic, Classic, Antique,Formula Ford, Can-Am, Trans-Am, GT and/or Historic Formula One cars).
The VRL helps members find difficult to locate parts, restoration resources, race events and car clubs in your area.
You can exchange pictures and race videos and find "same car soulmates".
I look forward to seeing some of your vintage race video's.
FYI - I'm the co-founder of The Vintage Racing League.
I owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford. I currently own and race a 1980 March Formula Atlantic and intend to rebuild and race a 1977 Shadow DN8 F1 car.
I race with CVAR in the Southwest.
I live in Dallas.
VRL Factoids:
An estimated 4 million people in the USA own Vintage, Historic, Classic and Antique cars (10 million world-wide).
The USA is home to 79 million Baby Boomers. Every day, 50,000 retire.
There are 27 Vintage Race Clubs in the US that stage an estimated 170 events per year.
Today, approximately 30,000 members in the 27 Clubs race Vintage cars.
We want to get more people into Vintage racing and a primary purpose of this site is dedicated to that goal.
Even if people do not race, they are welcome to attend events and learn more about the compelling nature of motorsports and it's history..

About: WWW.THEVRL.COM
We created a place where owners and lovers of vintage, historic, classic and antique cars could find each other, exchange pictures, videos and information about how to fix, restore, and race cars.

Hi Stephen. It is crunch time for my event at Road Atlanta I put up on the events today. Any chance you can put it in Featured events. I will be glad to reciprocate.
  • Conor O'Brien

Congratulations on hitting the 10,000 mark, a milestone in the history of VRL.
    Keep up the good work.
    Kind regards, Conor

Could be some time before this case finishes. Having won the case and given a good judgement, the difficulty is getting the funds out of the company as they have put it into liquidation. I have put in the administrator as I am the largest creditor. Will let you know progress which I hope is soon so that I can get back to racing. Conor

    Hi Stephen,
Thanks, Currently I'm looking for work while working on getting my black belt in Kenpo Karate, only five more belts to go. I'm still with LeMay only as a volunteer at the Marymount location in their administration department. And I started a car blog about my experiences learning about classic cars.
How about you, how's racing been going?
    Take care!

Thanks for your good wishes, sadly I wont be at the Festival Of Speed but hope maybe to get to the Revival, court case willing. It is a hell of a mess and not easy to sue a billionaire !
    Thanks for the good wishes.

    Hi Stephen,
The Automotive History Museum sounds like its going to be a great place. Definitely keep me posted on its status, please.
Would you be willing to send me some more information on the race track's history? I think it would make a great post for my blog.

To answer your question about my vision for my dream job if anything were possible and there were no restraints, I would love to have my own place to teach fitness and self defense while also being a published writer.
    Have a great day!

Stephen, thanks for the thoughts. this year was a high water mark for me as I beat my best time by almost a full minute. Had I not spun in the lower dirt section it would surely have been more than a minute better. Thanks again, Jess

  • Dr. John D. Hermann

Hi Stephen , thanks for the welcome. It was a Vintage Racer Colleague here in Texas that pointed me to the CVAR and then I found my way to the main website. I think your getting started piece is exceptional because as a newbie it is a great template for me to become involved in vintage racing. Thanks Again. hope to see you on the track sometime.
  • Dr. John D. Hermann

My Colleague that suggested vintage racing is Dr Greg Byrne, who is up in the Dallas area. I had the good fortune to meet him last year and he helped to point me in the right direction, although it has taken awhile for me to get started.
  • jeff quick

Thanks for welcome message Stephen. It is good to be on a site where like minded people appreciate great older cars. The saying "they don't make them like they used to" is even more appropriate to day than ever. Good work on the site and seems very user friendly for us old guys. Thanks again Stephen.
  • John WIseman

p4 body is getting prepped. Possibly will have a couple of good pics for you soon... Currently out of site. Most of our pics are build pics. No paint or full assembly yet. She runs, she rolls, just not on her own yet. I don't know any other replica that has every panel re-created in aluminum by hand do you? You should come out to Rockwall and see it yourself!
  • Henry Jones

    Thanks for the welcome Stephen!
  • Wayne Potts

The car when finished will be housed at the clients personal storage facility in Washington State.
  • Charles Croteau

    Hi Stephen,
Great idea to set up a community for vintage sport buffs!
As a suggestion I would add a section in the profile of each member:
    Your best moments in (motorpsort)
Where each member could let know other a little bit more about himself as an example: finishing the Monte Carlo Rallye or travelling around the world in a Vintage Bentley
  • Paolo Borghi

Yeah, Stephen that is me in the EX130...the photo was taken in July 1990. The MG collection was being moved to the British Motor Heritage Museum and was being stored in an industial park awaiting completion of the building. I was doing the Circuit of Britain Tour with the New England MG T Register. Anyone on the tour was welcome to sit in or drive any of the cars around the park. EX130 could not be driven but I did get to drive Old Number One...regarded as the first MG sports car. I suppose it is now impossible to drive it or get close to it..
  • Jonathan Rodriguez

Thanks mr. Page for requesting me as a friend I hope to go visit your museum with mr. cotten and my class mates and thanks again for coming to visit us at W. H. Adamson. Your friend Jonathan Rodriguez
  • Jan-Erik Engström

Hello there! Nice to hear from you! I have always been interested in racing, and as one gets older, somehow the cars you like also gets older (?). I live in Gotland, a small island in the east of Sweden, and my (not so old car) is a Triumph GT6, and my wife drives a Spitfire -63. I would also love to have something older to drive, but right now I just look at the vintage cars. See you!
  • Jer Giles

Great article in the Dallas Morning News. I've long been interested in turning a garage into a movie set. It's your car, it's your garage' it's your dream, you should have it the way you want.
  • Stephen Ross

    Stephen,

The car in my profile is my 1998 Van Diemen. However, I also rally my Gullwing, a Talbot-Lago and a few others. Also, I just purchased a 1963 Genie Mark VIII (former Pedro Rodriguez/Dan Gurney car).

    Regards
