I will be driving home....shame (LOL)
  • Mike Cutmore

Thanks for ticket Kev, It’ll be my first at the Darling Buds. I must check out the mile o t’s one day, maybe next year perhaps! I found a picture of some of the awards. Count so far for my 1981 DHC over the last 15 years is a total of eighteen, twelve of which were TRDC. Nine of which have been first place overall. I still can’t believe I’ve had my drophead 21 years now and have also been a TR7 driver since 1984! Don't we just love 'em?
  • Greg Collins

    Hi Kev,
    Photos done matey.
  • Greg Collins

Haven't done clutch yet, didn't quite go to plan. I am replacing the garage roof today tomorrow and Sunday, not a job i like. I will be more than happy to come up and do your rear pads on the BMW probably free in a couple of weeks time.
Hope you and Mags are both well, see you both very soon.
  • Nosher

It's hard work getting my car to shine, I might get it 'mopped', I think it is called. I won't have a re-spray.

    Hi Kev

and moved to Queensland Australia then my Father moved
to Victoria where the family grew up
Your Club has some very nice TR's I do hope that you keep

    Hi Kev
Thanks mate, been a good day.......Roll on Wales!!!!!
Good to see you got your photos sorted, cool.
  • Alan K Goss

Thanks Kev, but I'm a bit old for that sort of celebrating. I delegated it to my 19 yr old son who took it seriously and came back at 4.30 this morning.
Car is not as good as it looks from a distance, but its only for a bit of fun. Problems with missing at the moment though, can't seem to get it sorted, very irritating.

    Hi Kev
Speedway is something that I have never photographed
it was very popular here in the 50's and 60's but has
died off a bit since then

    kev
hope to be at home on the monday, just depends on my old man due to both my sisters going off again to their houses in france for the week. if home i should be welding or trying to find something to weld! as for Dudley it's the coldest place in the UK so message most likely not got though their woolley hats yet!
  • kevin john morton

supose i could be doctor madness, after starting the 1300GT project i now realise i need to be confirmed. sos no brass band or match stick records; not even any northern soul stuff but as i'am addicted to lady gaga at present (can't think why) you can see not much hope in my record collection. got a few greek one's if you really want something differant.you have to remember in the midlands we had ELO and sorry to say slade, not sure who was about in 1935 when my Austin 10 started its life big band sounds maybe but with there age frank sinata or even matt munroe? no only joking but surely these would go down well with the more mature TR Driver. but as your in the chair mr DJ play what you like i'am sure all will be well.
    cheers
  • kevin john morton

what NO thermal underwear. you don't talk right down south i'ad never understand what you were saying. besides i'ad never be able to afford living on an island. welding what can i say cars been on fire i've been on fire think i should have been looked up & key lost ages ago.
  • kevin john morton

don't think a g-string would do; at my age i'am feeling the cold. i take it your also going to do borac swimwear?

  • Andrew Pendrill

Hi Kev, thx for the invite. Trouble is I live in New York, that being said i do have an AC Cobra in the UK too, however i am not there as often as i would like :( happy to join your group though, just difficult for me to hang out with you guys!
  • Andrew Pendrill

OK, I am in... :) sounds great and i look forward to being your official New York outpost! will sign up on your website later.

When i was much younger i used to hang out at the Marquee Club in Wardour Street, my mate was the recording engineer there and we used to hang out in the recording studio a lot as well as the Ship on Dean Street which i am sure you know. Spent many a happy night in there drinking. One of the most bizzare nights was drinking with Lemmy and Marc Almond together, not an obvious pair of drinkers, but ... Sadly i was a bit too young for the full 70's punk rock scene, but still have tons of my old punk vinyl records.

My Cobra here is one of the 27 lightweight AC Cobra's that were made. they only made 6 left hookers of which mine is one. It was specced to be more powerful than a standard AC as well as being lighter makes it possible to hit 10mph in under 10 secs

funnily enough, the first car i ever owned was a Triumph, specifically a Triumph Vitesse...
  • Andrew Pendrill

    Chicco time!!!!

    i know who he is!

the pistols played the marquee, as did most punk bands in the 70's it is the UK equivalent of New Yorks CBGB's... quite legendary in fact. I have of course heard of, and know Dr Feelgood, as well as Canvey Island, had a few girlfriends from that way a while back. The Peter Boat is a pub i used to like for example
  • kevin john morton

most likely now them. dad attacked my mother & sister with the garden fork yesterday social were really helpfull call the police was all they could come up with. joys of life!
  • Janet Dawn McPherson

No I am not at the Bromley Pageant. I am Cholmondeley Pageant of Power with the Sporting Bears Motor Club in July are you going?
  • Alan K Goss

Not sure if I can make it. Have to try and get the car tuned to reliable running Saturday and visit a friend in a bad way Sunday am. If the weather is good might take the '7 and call in on the way back.
  • Bill Todd

Hi Kev , I have received the membership and the latest
copy of the TR Drivers magazine but have not finished the article as yet I will get on to it over the next few days
    avagreatday Bill
  • Andrew Pendrill

love to join the Essex rebels, how do i join, can you send me the link?
  • Malcolm Ward

Not sure if Briggo still lives out here in Christchurch or not I think he may live in the USA He sure was a good rider Won the world title I think four times. I would think he is around 74 years old now I also follow the stock cars a fare bit. There is a team coming out from the UK again this year for a big teams race out here They did real good last year . Regards Malcolm
  • Malcolm Ward

Yes stock cars.Last year the used all NZ Cars apart from Frankie Waymain junior who built a car in England and sent it out in his transporter and has left it here to use each year he comes out. If you google Team Great Briton on the web (I think thats what it was )you should see there cars They really looked great.
  • Malcolm Ward

Must be getting a little senile in his old age I will not be on line for another three weeks as going to Fiji on Holiday
  • Malcolm Ward

Yes I am looking forward to some real hot days as it has been real cold and wet here this winter Fiji is a small island in the Pacific Ocean and only three hours away by plane so easy for us to get there Regards Malcolm
  • Malcolm Ward

I never been to the UK but are intending to come over next year to the World Finals in the stock cars. Australias another great place to go to for us Only a couple of hours away Went over to Brisbane last month to a vintage speedcar / midget meeting which was great.
  • Malcolm Ward

Yes you are correct about the prison part Mind you it was a bloody big one It takes 6 hours to fly across Australia so its a real big place I highly recommend it and you can see the sky every day of the week If your wife lived in the Brisbane area she would know how hot it gets specially up the Gold Coast at Surfers Paradise I wioll check that members page as well
  • Malcolm Ward

Yes its real hot there unlike here at the present time Its been a cold and wet winter. I think the world finals for the stock cars next year are at Skegness or Wimbledon but I will let you know when confirmed I keep up with the play from a good friend of mine who is from Nottingham who lives just down the road from me here.
  • Malcolm Ward

Yes he is still training young riders here at his local track in Christchurch To me he was the best of the top three you might say in his era Thats Briggs Mauger and himself. Although I must say we have certainly had our share of good riders since them. Must be the easy living out here or something
  • Andrew Pendrill

Where is it? if close, i am happy to go take a pic!!!! sorry, missed your message re the Peter Boat, like that place.
  • Andrew Pendrill

Quite a way, but nothing is impossible, i am sometimes out that way...
