Gillian, my wife, and I had the pleasure of racing our burgandy Aston Martin DB4GT (English Reg 5000 HJ) which we brought over from the UK and raced at Lime Rock in Steve Earle's historic meeting in 2005. It was great fun racing there and one day we hope to do it again. Good Luck. John
Hey Renea,
Your shots are great!
I uploaded the trailer for the GT RACER's episode #5, which is of course "Legends of Lime Rock". I has not been on the net so far. I hope you like it.
All the Best
Thanks for your messages. I will try and get round to joining the Lime Rock group soon. In the meantime I think that Alexander has put up some pics of our Aston at Lime Rock in 05! We later took it to Laguna Seca in 07 and Alex made his Gt racer film which featured Gillian driving the car. it has also been to Classic LeMans here in Europe 4 times now so I guess it is getting quite well known!! Take care, John
Hi Renea,
I'm getting back in initially as a spectator. Someone just gave me a 1977 Jag XJ6L. (as with most Jags that have sit for a bit, it neds quite a bit of work) Not sure I'll take that vintage racing or not, but I have seen that several clubs in Britain are running saloon classes with almost all Jags.
I will surely check out and join the Lime Rock group. I will definitely be at the track several times this coming year. Looks like there are at least 3-4 vintage type events scheduled throughout the coming season.
Hi Renea....good the see you here....the photos are great...Lime Rock is truely a PARK! ......your photos captured how beautiful she really is. Stay warm.....racing season will be here real fast....enjoy the Winter Wonderland!
Lime Rock's Memorial Day Weekend Road Racing Classic sounds absolutely exquisite! Wish I could join you to watch the Formual One machinery and this Historic Grand Prix ... maybe next year!
