I had a ok weekend in August at Sebring, despite the rain. I used the weekend to gain confidence. The two events before at Sebring were cut short by, flat tire, engine missing past 3K RPM, gear shifter not finding 4th gear in the 5th to 4th change and all sorts of "Gremlins". But I look forward to racing at the new track in Starke, FL. Go to "Gorally.com" for more info. I hope to be at the new Moroso in November.

Intake scoops were created with a single cut across the blister from a cutoff wheel, a hammer and dolly a a bit of bondo.
The louvers are a prefab part from Eastwood. Again a cutoff wheel, tack welded the louver in place and a bit of bondo. More work to tidy up the underside hood supports and to reinforce the hood were the support was cut away. IDF's with fairly tall ram pipes clear well with the hood closed.

Great to hear driver had a blast and car survived. I like the HSR events very much. I have gor to the June event at the Glenn two years in a row and have really enjoyed the racing and how they run their events. Not quite ready as I have never done a race school and be able to be signed off for a liscence. That is my goal in the next couple of years as I head towards retirement. Plan as many "non race" track events in 2009.
Ciao

Tim, I have race Laguna Seca a couple of years ago with SCCA, but most of my racing is in the Colorado area with RMVR.I have raced at Miller in Utah, and once at Hastings Nebraska, a few years ago raced a Hill Climb in Washington.
This year I have only raced twice, do to a back surgery, but plan to race the full 2009 season. Love racing my 1957 Alfa. Ralph
