Few tracks are as well known and beloved as Lime Rock Park. The Classic, 1.53-mile, 7-turn road course, along with the new Optional 1.51-mile, 10-turn road course, is nestled in the stunning Berkshire Foothills of Northwest Connecticut and has challenged some of the world's best drivers. Since it opened in 1957, Lime Rock Park has played host to nearly every great road racing driver, car and series, establishing a rich tradition as The Road Racing Center of the East.

Lime Rock Park is exactly that – a Park. It is not a typical facility and it is not a superstructure. It is a race track where spectators describe where they are sitting in relation to the trees. There are no grandstands, instead there are grassy hillsides that make an ideal place for picnic blankets or lawn chairs, coolers and sun umbrellas. It is as intimate as a backyard, but don’t be mistaken…with 180mph race machines screaming through, the hills do come alive for action-packed weekends. And let’s not forget, there was only one track that Paul Newman called “Home.”

Lime Rock Park is that rarest of venues – it has entirely preserved its innate and historical attributes yet remains in high demand within its industry. The Park is one of the busiest racing facilities in North America with over 211 track days annually, drawing thousands of fans, students, racers and passionate participants year after year. Lime Rock is the only professional road course located in the affluent metropolitan area of the New York City and Boston corridor, and enjoys the highest financial demographic of any track in the country. The track serves as the East Coast base for the Skip Barber Racing School, plays host to more than 25 upscale car enthusiast clubs, offers exclusive track time to its members of The Club at Lime Rock Park and showcases the best amateur and world-class professional racing on the East Coast including the finest Vintage Festival on the East Coast.

Two hours from anywhere that matters, serpentine scenic roadways from every direction surround Lime Rock Park. Conveniently located to New York City, Boston, Hartford, Greenwich, Springfield, Poughkeepsie, Albany and Providence, the track offers an easy day trip for those looking for unparalleled entertainment.

Lime Rock has 52 years under its belt and has no plans on slowing down. And, thanks to the newly formed membership-based drivers club, The Club at Lime Rock Park, the track has contracts with club members for the next 50 years, so Lime Rock Park is here to stay.

I have been going to Lime Rock for the past ten years, my favorite weekend is the Vintage weekend. I have enjoyed the great motorcycle parking, the open park feeling is something that must be experienced to fully appreciate. I plan to put my 1973 MGB Street/Racer on the concord Sunday during Vintage weekend this year.....can't wait.

To me Lime Rock Park is all about access. You have free access to the paddock. Plenty of places to take photos during events. I have hundreds of great shots of vintage and sports car races because of the many great photo locations. I look forward to another great year in the park.
