The carrera was one of many Porsches I owned. I had a 1953 Porsche America coupe,1957 Porsche 1600 super coupe also #117 and a 1961 Porsche Super 90 convert.Non Porsches incluged a 1952 MG TD MarkII, Triumph TR# RHD(race car), 1960 MGA, and an MGB.
As they say in the NFL "upon further review" I find several new things,in the HM picture the bandini at the right is driven by my brother Jim Eichenlaub. Jim was second nationally(SCCA) in this car in 1958. He was first nationally in 1959 on an OSCA.
The photo of TR3 #40 looks like it is my old 1956 TR3. RHD and missing the egg crate grill which I removed in 1956. Tracing stops here for no #40 Tr is listed for the 1959 PIB race. Still working to trac k this car.
My name is Ed Eichenlaub and I am the driver of the porsche carrera Gt speedster shown in your photo. I assume this photo was taken at the 1958 Put In Bay races. I really would like to have that car now,it was a lot of fun. Was never able to trace it after the second owner.
