mike, it's dan targonski. the reynard has been on the back burner, i have 3rd in college and other projects, but i could not sell this car, it needs to be done!  i toyed with m/c powertrain but it didn't seem right, i am fishing for an engine/transaxle now.  did you change the livery on your car?  how have you done lately?  i appreciate your contact, don't know much outside of it!

Michael if I remember rightly my car 001 was finished in 1975 as I was settling into living in Madrid in 1974. Adrian was meant to bring my furniture down but in the end could not. Drawings were going backwards and forwards during this year between the two countries. His original idea if my memory serves me correctly was to put the radiator at the front, but I suggested putting it on the rear suspending it from the rear suspension. The car in the photo is obviously the original. Adrian had a tweek of putting the rear shock absorbers upside down but to my expense I found that it did not work, outbraking a 6/7 line abreast going down Hanger strait (Silverstone Club) into Woodcote only to loose it thanks to tweek around the rest of the circuit. In those days we had 109 entrants - finished 17th in this car in the final with Derek Warwick 11th in a works Hawke. Unfortunately I did not have works support from Adrian or Bill.

Hope this helps

I had the first production Reynard 001 -see http://www.itccommunications.net/john.n6.html Adrian having persuaded me to use my Oselli engine and gearbox from the first production Oscar http://www.itccommunications.net/john.n4.html which designer Frank Boyles, David Oldham (Oselli Engineering) had planned to market at 1,000 pounds (the rules) - This chassis was 3rd first time out at Castle Combe driven by Brian Smith. I financed the second chassis for David Heale
