Hi Hank
I have a flickr photo section of the restoration of a couple of my cars, my email address is vernlowe@aol.com, send me your private email and I will hook you up as a contact and you can see them. I'm currently awaiting the return of my Mk1 Lotus Cortina finished painted body, I've restored all the components and am ready to put everything back together.
Cheers, Vernon
Hank,
I just noticed where you're located. There's an American Lancia Club member not too far from you, in Green Bay, who owns 4 Fulvias. He might be a useful resource when it comes to buying a Fulvia. Have you considered joining the ALC? It's also a pretty good resource, and there's occasionally someone selling one of their cars.
Regards, Ed
I sent an email to Bill asking what the status is of his car, and if he wants to sell it. I know that he is getting married soon, and that may change some of his priorities.
I had not seen him for a number of years, when in 2004 I was at the Oldtimer Meeting at Nurburgring. My wife and I were walking through the pits, and who should we spot walking the other direction but Bill Allen. It was great to spend some hours together and to catch up on old times.
I beat him for the VARA GP production championship, by one point, at the last race of the season (Tustin Thunder), on the last lap, at the last corner before the finish line. That was a great season.
Thanks for the nice comments about the website. This is my second iteration, and with the help of Rogerio Machado, one of my customers in Portugal, we have managed to make it quite reasonable. Lots of content there for people to explore.
It may be that Bill Allen will have his NSU-TTS up for sale shortly. I know that he is rebuilding the motor back to TTS specifications and I believe he may put the car up for sale after that.
Bill won the D-Sedan National Championship at Daytona in 1969 with his TTS. This car is a faithful reproduction of the original TTS (destroyed in a race at Santa Barbara a whole bunch of years ago).
Let me know if this might be of interest.
Regards,
Paul
