Chief of Grid for CVAR, Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing.
Grid for PCA Lone Star and Hill Country regions.
I have (finally!) purchased my first old car, and I'm working on "paintin' and patchin'" it. I'd say it is my first restoration, but I'm not sure the work I do is yet of a good enough quality for that title.
This car will not be a racer, but maybe a pace car on occasion.
Pictures to come...
What car(s) do you own?
Mazda MX-5 2008 GT w 6 speed, and now...
Sven, the 1974 Saab Sonett III. The body (all fiber glass) is good but needs paint, the chassis is one big tub of rust. 58,000 original miles. 4 speed Ford Taunus V4 engine, 1698cc.
He actually purrs when he runs!
Lot's of work and learning ahead for me.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I work grid, and try to make sure everybody plays safe and has fun!
What clubs do you belong to?
CVAR, Vintage SAAB club.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Every event I learn something new about cars.
Now I'm learning more while in the shop working on my old car.
Dearest Lady L
I will be back as soon as we get to 100,000 members on the VRL.
It's taking a lot longer than I thought.
In fact it's the hardest thing I've ever tried to do.....
Could you please add the CVAR Events in the Events Section and invite CVAR members to post their photos and videos in the CVAR Group after each event.
Many, many thanks and
Warmest regards
