Mille Miglia Car Wanted

Like the title says i am looking for a pre 1957 that is eligible for he event. Price is dependent on the condition. A Berlinetta-Coupe would be the most desirable as i am 6'2" and 200 lbs (long legs).
Any and all information would be gratefully accepted and appreciated $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Hi Neil,
a friend of mine is doing the Mille Miglia at this moment with a car that I provided for him.
Entry is highly competitive and I know people who keep applying but never get in. Originality and provenance of a car, the model type of which drove in original the Mille Miglia are main criterias for selection. A veteran MM-car will always be accepted.
It depends really on the amount you want to spend..

First of all i appreciate the response; i am fully aware of the ins and outs of the event and its politics. I have several friends in Europe who can get me in with a respectable car. I know that they often take very ordinary Porsche's, Alfa Romeos and Fiats or others because of who they know (yes the model of the car ran the event).
I am not being unreasonable in my finances just cautious and would like to have something that is fun to drive, somewhat comfortable for my size and doesn't require me selling my first born child.

Give me an idea what you are looking for. What time period? Open or closed car? What kind of money? I have been involved with etceterinis for 40 years, and am NOT a dealer or a broker. If I find something someone wants, all I ask for is a small finder's fee...
