Had a good start, followed by a fun battle with Ken Blasko in the light brown 2002 until I passed him in the "talledega" turn. I quickly caught up to the red 2002 of Alan Deszcz (CSM class w/dcoe carbs) and was in a hurry to pass him and decided to pass him into the heavy breaking zone on the last turn before the front straight. Unfortunately it seams like I misjudged a bit and found myself next to him right as he was turning into the apex....so as not to have contact with him I chose to go over the curb to the inside...unfortunately the curb there is really BIG and BOOM!! That was the end of my race. My headers were smashed against the curbing and cut the engine off.
Live and learn.....I should of waited for a better opportunity to pass. Luckily there was no contact and little damage to my car. I guess I was effected by the red mist a bit...
