I grew up at our family'ssmall family run Foreign Car Garage/Dealership in the early sixties where we sold Borgward,NSU,Rover, Rootes Group(Sunbeam,Hillman,Singer,Humber,Commer) Autos along with SAAB, Datsun and the occasional Elva that Rootes handled. It went from 1948 till my father passed in 1978 when my mother sold it. I then went to England for Jim Russel School at Snetterton for Formula Car Mechanics and helped out with the Flying Tigers Ralt F3 team testing there. I stayed in Attleborough,Norfolk, which ironically was the town's name I was from in Massachusetts, USA. Growing up I was surrounded by the Ads and Posters of the erea, including Watkins Glen, for which we sold tickets for their events and my father would forward the Glen News and excess Posters to me. I used to think it was such a chore to have to be there all the time working when my mates were out playing games, but I wish I could unwind the clock to have the chance to do it again, and do it again differently.
