I'm an aspiring independent moviemaker - as in I've got credits ranging from technical adviser to Steadicam operator, producer to director & still camera operator, but I have yet to make a feature length movie. But I have a series of documentaries on native American (i.e., Indian) art that I've been shooting since 2001 that should be out within a year (2018) and I have a feature in script writing stage about car racing.
What car(s) do you own?
BMW 540i V8 6 speed, which will shortly get raced, plus various cars & vans of no interest.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I have raced a 1961 Ferrari 250 in the classic car race at Sears Point, now called Infineon, I believe. Clocked 145 mph; the Beemer (called basic Marin wheels hereabouts, is a tad faster.
When I was 21, I was passenger on a 1904 Brushmobile (no it wasn't a road sweeper) on the London to Brighton (England) veteran car rally. More of the same would be fun now I'm 70.
What clubs do you belong to?
None.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Go to race school. The plan for the car racing movie is that all the actors, plus senior production staff will do the course to ensure authenticity.
What vintage, historic, classic etc. cars would you like to own?
Maserati (road car) circa 1960, and a 1947 (year of my birth) Kurtis Kraft midget racer like Richard Corrow had, though I've never seen one, it looks like it would be fun!
Historic Cars Owned
Nothing truly historic at the moment.
