I am a life time petrol head, done a little motorsport in the 70's, owned a succesfull used car business till' 2007, retired to restore a farm house and out buildings as workshops, soon to start manufacturing a Cobra styled componant self assembly car named, Super Snake, using Ford Mondeo ST220 V6 24v componenants and to re market the Minari an Alfa based sports car of Mazda MX5 proportions also in kit form. Both cars can be built for around £6,000. I have a collection of classic cars in various states of restoration and a couple fully finished. This has been my hobby together with building kit cars and modifying/tuning road cars. I follow most types of motorsport and attend shows throughout the year. My 2 sons age 27 and 22 share my interest, but sadly, my wife does not!
What car(s) do you own?
Road cars the past 18months have been a Land Rover Discovery tdi and my wife's Citroen C3 t/d. I have had many high performance cars. My classics are Triumph and Ford mostly, too many to list! A few kit cars too.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
Track days. Not done any since working on the farm.
What clubs do you belong to?
Used to belong to many but have left them lapse, only the Minari register now.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
As above, but would like to go for proper tuition when time allows. I will need this as the Minari has a competion/track day model and I wish to promote this in the near future.
