Since I drove my first car (Ford Capri) I had the dream to get my own garage with all the tools I need to do a complete restoration. The car of my dreams was a Jaguar E-Type but (thankfully) it were out of my price range. Then a friend asked me if he could use half of my garage for a restoration of his 66 mustang coupe. While assisting him on his restoration as much as time allows, I was more and more infected by this early pony car virus. Over one year later somebody told me, that there was a lonely ragtop sitting only a few miles away in the dirt, waiting severals year for his restoration. At that moment I didn't realize that this car would cause more work then I expected. In my phantasy I saw myself already crusin around and so I get the owner of a rusty hulk. The car was sold as an 65 Mustang and it takes some time before I learned enough about this cars, to see that it was a 64 1/2 Convertible. Proud on this information I started to learn as much as possible about this early cars...
