John:
I have 1971 240Z that is a recreation of the Datsun Factory Works car that competed in the 1972 Rallye Monte Carlo. I have been researching and building this car (in the UK) for a couple of years and next week, we will cast the first set of magnesium wheels from a pattern I had made from an original 14x7J Factory Works car wheel made by Kobe Seiko for Nissan in the 1970"s. I have also had a 15x7J wheel pattern made (scaled off the original size), as there are more tire options for 15-inch wheels. I can cast the wheels in either magnesium or aluminum.
Not sure if you or any of your West Coast buddies have an interest in these wheels, but thought I would ask. I can send you a picture of the wheel if there is any interest.
The picture on my page shows the rally instruments in front of the co-driver.
