born in glendale calif. My uncle Billy Garrett was a factory driver for curtis and my father and is brothers all worked on billy's Curtis midget, sprint, and indy roadster. He raced at ascot, riverside,and indy. The sound of an Offenhauser engine is as ingrained in my memory as any I have.
