I'm just a fan, and old guy that just loves vintage racing. I have followed vintage racing and SCCA racing since the 50's
I grew up about 20 miles from Watkins Glen and was at every race from 1946 until I moved to Michigan in 1964. Even then I returned for the Formula One races probably thru 1978.
I helped as a kid in high school to build the present track because my dad was the civil engineer who laid the track out as a surveyor. I always worked for him in the summer and on weekends. So, WG is very close to me and means a lot. I return each September for the Vintage races and always hate to leave. I also try to get to Road America in the spring for their vintage races in May.
What car(s) do you own?
Nothing that can be called vintage. I drive an Audi as my family car
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
Just attend races, I would love to own and race something but realistically I can't afford to
What clubs do you belong to?
None
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Attend vintage races, I would love to go to school and get into racing but for the money and my age
