Best way to reach Jere Stahl is : jere@stahlheaders.com. You are correct, the "Battle of Brittain" Devin is Triumph powered. Good luck with your Volvo-related racing efforts.
Anthony, I sold the Volvo about two months ago to Jere Stahl of Stahl Headers in Pennsylvania. We had been talking for several months while he did some research on Volvos and then decided he wanted to get out of Spec Miata into something more "age appropriate". He has taken a real scientific approach to the engine work, especially related to port shape and exhaust systems. They have decided to run in F-production with a B-18 engine but yet to get the new engine on a dyno. That should come soon.
Anthony, its good to hear from a fellow Volvo racer. Too bad we didn't correspond sooner. I was in Denver for 5 days last month with my wife, who was there on business. I would have loved to get together and of course see your P1800.
I had previously raced a TR4 and then my wife and I had twin Zink FVs which we sold when I retired two years ago and moved back to Texas from Florida.
I actually started working on the Volvo before moving and completed it last September here in Texas. I have had it out twice and experienced engine problems both times. On the second outing it lost oil pressure; most likely, the oil pump shaft broke. In any event there was a lot of metal in the filter. I will pull the engine and send it to a real engine builder as soon as my workshop is finished--hopefully in about a month. Let me know how your racing is going.

As for myself, I just bought a '46 Ford coupe that my wife and I hope to do some cruising with here in the Texas Hill Country.
