World's Fastest Novelist to sign books in Burbank on July 2nd!
In a rare Left Coast appearance, award-winning motorsports journalist, notorious racecar ride mooch, tireless self-promoter and undisputed World's Fastest Novelist Burt "BS" Levy will be signing and otherwise defacing copies of his books at Autobooks-Aerobooks, 2900 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA, from 10am-2pm on Saturday, July 2nd.
Burt's hilarious and historically accurate THE LAST OPEN ROAD series of "faction" novels have become genuine cult classics on the motorsports and collector-car scenes. The books follow the adventures and misadventures of a 19-year-old New Jersey gas station mechanic who gets sucked into the bucks-up world of open-road sports car racing during the Eisenhower fifties. The late, great American World Champion Phil Hill liked THE LAST OPEN ROAD so much he gave copies as Christmas presents, and England's prestigious Classic & Sports Car magazine picked it as one of the top 20 motor-enthusiast titles of all time. The series is now up to five volumes, THE LAST OPEN ROAD, MONTEZUMA'S FERRARI, THE FABULOUS TRASHWAGON, TOLY'S GHOST and the new THE 200mph STEAMROLLER, plus Burt's side-splitting short-story anthology, A POTSIDE COMPANION.
