Ferrari 625 TRCs to cross the block in Monaco

If you have a spare four and a half minutes, check out RM Auctions video preview of the 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spider that will headline their Monaco sale next month.

The engine sounds alone are worth the (free) price of admission, but they did a great job incorporating a detailed description of the car by the current owner who bought it unrestored back in 1982. There are also some cool stills of the Ferrari being raced as well as a clip of it at Pebble with Sir Jackie Stewart calling the action.

The car, chassis number 0680 MDTR, has not only been on display at Pebble Beach twice in 1985 and 2005 (in addition to having raced there in the 1950s), the current owner has run it in about 130 vintage races.

It’s one of two factory 625 TRCs, has a rich racing history and the V-12 engine was rebuilt prior to last year’s Monterey Historics by Ferrari engine guru Patrick Ottis. All of which means it would be welcome and ready to compete in any vintage race in the world.

Oh, to be a zillionaire.

All told, RM’s Monaco sale, which will take place May 11-12, will offer 22 Ferraris, including an ex-Michael Schumacher Ferrari Formula 1 race car from the 2000 season. For more information, visit RMAuctions.com.
