All-time D-Type Jaguar fan, ever since I was privileged to get a ride out to a drag strip in Nevada and back, as a passenger in Ray Seher's XKD 522 (rebuilt by him after the Hornburg shop fire).
What car(s) do you own?
Since we all know that Jags are great for about two years, then you get rid of 'em, I own (in place of any Jag) four BMW's: 325es (1986), 530i (2001) and 535i (2008), and a 2009 135i. I'm convinced that BMW has a lock on how to build cars right, even though Jaguar has a special place in my heart (see below)
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I'd just like to gab about the old times (1950's and 60's) in West Coast racing (I helped to prepare Merle Brennan's Jaguar E-Type that won him so many races back in the day). He'd be my hero, if I had one.
What clubs do you belong to?
BMW Car Club of America. Used to belong to a Morgan club in Philly, when I owned a 1963 Plus Four in the '80's.
Way back in the '50's, belonged to an MG TC owner's club, when I owned a '49 TC for a few years.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Read about the old times. Unable, physically or monetarily, to get into racing.
Would like to attend vintage race meets on the East Coast.
