With mechanic, 'Dyno Don' Nicholson, Robert created the first, successful, Bored / Stroked (1/2 in), 352cu inch, street driveable 'Fuelie Corvette Terror', frequently running 'Little Eliminator' with 1/4 mile, best times in 113 mph/ 11:80 ET range in 'B Modified Sports' Class at Pomona, burning up the Drag Strips of So Calif. Also holding Track Record at San Fernando (1960) and Driving/ Practice Runs on 'Road Race' Course at Riverside while running stock, AA Sports 1/2 Mile Drags. Working out of San Francisco and Monterey, then Palm Beach, Florida, Appraising many Vintage Race and Sports Cars over the years frequently working with Phil Hill. PORSCHE: Research w/Ferry Porsche 1980s - worked for Alois Ruff and Steve Beddor in the mid 90s as Consultant/ Appraiser, piloting the headline making Ruff Turbo 'Yellow Bird' AWDs being developed by Ruff in Pfaffenhausen Germany . HISTORIC: Discovered the remains of the, long thought lost, 1938, Joel Thorne/ Art Sparks Landspeed Racer planned challenger to the Mercedes and Auto Union Autobahn Burners of the mid 1930s underneath Lou Fageols 1949 Indy '500' 'SuperSonic' ShowCar displayed centerfield and driven by Wilbur Shaw, documented on 1949 film. INSPECTION/DIAGNOSIS/RESEARCH APPRAISAL: Working on Client assignment, Robert has initiated many Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette and other Sports and Race Car related reseach projects over the years and continues select new projects with enthusiasm to this day.
