About Me:
Hi I am retired motor/engineer have polio in my legs been a motor enthusiast from the age of 12 yrs old worked for Ford BMC ,VW ,Holden, Cummins, and GM live on the north coast now the wife and I love driving about now days we have been everywhere I collect cars rebuild them and sell them off it is even getting hard to do that now as polio is taking its toll now days but still ticking over LoL
What car(s) do you own?
Have a EB falcon GT it was built by Ford to re introduce the GT range there was only 6 built my one is the only auto transmission one built it is a great car to drive hand built it was owned by Ford for 10 yrs and then given to the engineer that built the GT range Mr Webb my ford is the only 1 of the 6 regoed for road use All so have a XF Ford ute powered by a stone bros motor x Ambros AU from the Bathurst 1000 2001 race it is a QF motor goes very hard burns fuel just like a racing car should LoL. Also a TC Cortina 200 ci Turbo building to race at Nabaic race track for the grandson.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
We travel around have a Chev C30 truck and a 30ft caravan but it is getting a bit hard now days so just tinker with my cars now but in building the Cortina up for the grandson I will get back into auto racing in the 70 I worked in the pits for a few owners back then Peter Manton, Norm Beachey John Goss ,Alex Milldren ,and a few others
What clubs do you belong to?
None was in the Parkes car club in the 60s ARD in the 60,s 70,s and then I acted my age and then went off and had a life
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Worked on most old motors in the day in my job and lessor love helping people get there dreams rolling know a lot about how to keep the power up there best motor ever raced was a spitfire motor in a kombi van in a dragster at the old riverside track at Penrith before they sold it off that realy finished my drag racing days off I was a bit browned off also with CAMS still do not go much for there politics have shown a few drivers how to stay alive over the years have not lost anybody yet lol
