My name is Greg Monise I am the grandson of Frank Monise of Lotus 11 and Lotus 23 fame here on the west coast, and son of Frank Monise Jr.of west coast formula atlantic history. We restore vintage cars and build vintage race cars at our family shop in pasadena ca. we have been in business for nearly 60 years specializing in primarily British cars. I own a 68' MG-B roadster race car to be run in VARA in the E-production class and my brother Geoff has a 65 MG Midget that he won the G production championship with in 07'. I am a huge fan of english cars and love to do anything I can to help preserve the marques.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?

Forgot something else: do you know the book "Weekend Heroes"? A great book on the Californian weekend races in the 1950s. Great photos, great and detailed stories - pure fun! Was not easy to find and no bargain, but a really great source of info and what actually is the origin any post war sports car worldwide. all thos Jags, NGs Triumphs, Alfas and Porsches would not be around wouldn't have been those times in your heck of wood then! One more reason to say: thanks America! Greetings, Thomas
Hi Frank, the WWW is great, right? We can meet here, too. Hope your doing fine and your business is still running well - after all that "crisis" and recession talking that must not necessarily be the case.
Yeah, I certainly do enjoy my cars. Today I could do quite some work on my MG TD - it's now a rolling chassis with enginge and gearbox (five speed), wiring loom, brakes etc. in it. I'd say some five more hours tomorrow and then the next weekend and this is done. Then it's up to the - more difficult - job of body and timber work on the tub. With this I am unexperienced. So keep your fingers crossed for me. Take care, enjoy the weekend and greetings, Thomas

Your father and grandfather had some fascinating cars over the years. I run OldRacingcars.com - could I ask you some questions about those cars?

Allen
