Chuck Manning Special fabricated by my father, David H. Margolien approximately 1951. Car is equipped with 48 Ford flathead with Isky cam, 3 Stromberg 97, Offy heads and manifold, Merc crank. 39 Merc front and rear axles. Fiberglass nose and tail formed in molds which still exist. Rest of body is aluminum. 1600 pounds all up. Except for engine rebuild in mid 80s, car is essentially exactly as raced through '53.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
No I didn't know your dad. I live in Australia. I just like the car because it is so much like a lot of specials that were built in Australia in the 30s, 40s and early 50s. I write a blog on historic racing cars, see http://wwwbollyblog.blogspot.com/
Could I use a photo of the car on that blog?
