I've belonged to CVAR for about 4 years now and consider the club and the people involved to be top shelf in every way. My car is a 1959 Austin Healey 3000 and is a replica of the car that won the Leige-Rome-Leige rallye of 1960 outright driven by Pat Moss and Ann Wisdom. It carries the full compliment of Rallying equipment used by BMC that year. Alloy Cylinder Head, Triple Weber 45DCOE Twin Choke Carbs, Tubular Exhaust System, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, Competition Overdrive and Straight Cut Gears Transmission. All of the body modifications are per the BMC Competitions Department workshops of that time.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?

2012 VSCDA Vintage Sprite and Midget Race Series (rev 1/13/2012)
VSCDA’s Group 2 Vintage Production Based Sports Cars has had one of the largest sustained gatherings in the Mid-West for Vintage Racing Sprites and Midgets. To encourage even larger participation there will be a 3 race series with the best of 2 events ending with awards presented for durability at The Grattan Raceway Event. This 3 race series is designed to provide more fun wheel to wheel racing within the various Sprite and Midget Classes. A joint Cookout during the weekend is planned so competitors and crew can enjoy getting to know others that share the same passion. Please visit the VSCDA website at www.vscda.org/. for more details on entering the May 4-6 Gingerman, June 15-17 Black Hawk Farms and Final Awards August 17-19 Grattan 2012 Races. Stan Mason can be contacted at StanBMason@AOL.com for additional details on classifications and how points are awarded.
Sounds like you have had a few years to sort things out on the track with your car. I'm still making some adjustments (upgrades?) In the video I was running two 2" SU HD8 carb.s with the wrong needles in for the track. I was loosing top end power down the straights and the AH 100-M could start to pull away, I was able to late break him with the 4-wheel disc. I run however.
I'm in the process of adding a triple 2" SU HD8 system on a Ruddspeed manifold with a lighter aluminum flywheel and Tilton 7.25 clutch. Two months until our track test and tune days...............I better get to work.
I enjoyed reading about the restoration on your car a few years back in the AHC-USA magazine, you really had a great resource of experts on your team.
As I recall, I took a few pictures of your finished project at the AH Rendezous
in Lake Tahoe, NV.
Do you vintage race on any regularity?
