Well, she's a really nice lady, Bill, and you're lucky to have her as a Mom. When you get right down to it, you've had the history with your parents and racing that most of us only dream of having. I've enjoyed looking at all the old photos you've shared with us over the years. There's nothing like them!!!!
Hi, Bill!!! Great to see you on here. I got an e-mail dink that you had seen my profile on here and thought I should acknowledge it. I really enjoyed getting the e-mail from your Mom yesterday. I sent her a long reply last night; I hope I didn't bore her too much!!! Well, we'll see you around on the site!! See if you can get Carl to join up, too!!!!
Bill,The '56 Sacramento races were the first one I worked as a SCCA volunteer. I had crowd control duty on the curve that went around the outside of the horse race track. I also worked as a flagman for the 6-hour enduro @ Cotati. I think I was over on either turn 3 or 4 on the backside of the track.Nice photo!!
Bill,
I worked all 3 of those courses as a volunteer flagman for SCCA, so that's probably where I saw the name in the race program. Are you old ernough to have been at any of those courses with your dad?
I think I remember your dad's name from race programs in the 50's & 60's. He raced occassionally in NorCal at some of the old airport courses, didn't he? The name is VERY familiar! I can't remember what he drove, but could probably look it up in some of the 3 dozen race programs I still have from that peroid.

Did you ever get the message I sent you about the reference to your Dad in the Laguna Seca race program from the 50's?
