Phil, this isn't your car. There are some differences, many details in the front and in the rear. Probably, this was one of the 5 (?) B52 cabriolets Vignale made. Another different B52 cabriolet survived, actually it's in Belgium.

Fantastico!! That's the first picture I've ever seen of the car in its "Glory Days!" Who's the Babe??!! Maybe with all the photo's being posted someone, somewhere will pop-up with a clue as to where the car is now.

Hi Phil, the owner of the green/black car already saw that photos. I checked a french newsreel about the 1952 Paris motor show, but there are only french cars. Anyway i'm here to surprise you with a picture of the "real sister" of your former car. The mistery is thickening...

Nice to hear from you and glad to know of your involvement with Viva-Lancia, one of my favorite forums. Currently I own the white '66 Flaminia GT and also an '81 Beta Coupe 2.0FI. The B52 was a car I bought for $400 USD in 1969 and never managed to get running but the car sat at my parents house about 80km from New York City. In 1975 I moved to Ohio and eventually my dad decided to sell the Aurelia. I know the name of the man that bought the car was Trevor Hewitt and apparently he was a professional soccer player and a native Jamaican. A fellow by the name of Walt Spak in Pittsburgh PA told me about the car being sold and then towed to a warehouse in Brooklyn NY but I have absolutely no more specifics. I was amazed to see the pictures of the green car which in most every detail except for the bonnet was the same styling (Michelotti) but a Cabriolet and not a coupe. My understanding is that both cars may have been built for and exhibited at the Paris Auto Show around '52. Possibly you could direct your friend that owns the beautiful green B52 to look at the Black and white photos I shot of the cabriolet in the wrecking yard where I found the car...he might enjoy those....

I know the owner of the green/black B52. Unfortunately i don't know anything about the cabriolet. I suggest you to contact the last warehouse where the car was. Meanwhle i'll try to do a research at the Michelotti's register.

The Green B52 is owned by someone in Europe and has been displayed at various prestigious Concours there over the past several years. It happens to be the sister car to the one I bought in 1969 which is the B/W photo series I shot in the wrecking yard where I found the car. Unfortunately the "unrestored" car has disappeared from the radar screen...hoping that posting pictures on this and a few other sites may drum up some clues!!
