Mario Andretti and Arturo Merzario drove this brand new Ferrari 512S to third place at the 1970 Daytona 24. The Ferrari factory sent over five cars to compete with the Porsche 917s but the Ferraris were too new and literally had never raced in an international event before and only one finished while two Gulf Porsche 917s came in first and second.
