John at silverstone in first production Reynard FF1600 run by brensec racing

Whilst racing the Oscar., Adrian Reynard approached me about going into business with him, persuading me to use the engine and gearbox for the first production Reynard chassis, the earlier design having a front mounted radiator until I suggested to Adrian that it was mounted at the rear which is how it debuted. I also financed the second production chassis driven quite successfully by David Heale.
