In 1986/1987 you could only race the Van Diemen RF86 chassis but in 1988 the well sponsored teams purchased new cars, but I still managed to hold off Vincente Saenz (owner of Lois Jeans) in his Reynard F88 coming out of the Le Mans chicane complex and up the Rampa Pegaso
