1981 Emerson Fittipaldi two-times world champion driving a Lotus in 1972 and a McLaren in 1974. Here he is in his own team car a Fittipaldi F5A. Emerson was still a fast driver. His car however was not competitive and he suffered at mid or rear grid. 1984 would find Emerson in the CART American open wheel series where he again was a champion.
