50 Ron Horning - 1965 Lotus Elan S2

This image was from my first time shooting a racing event with full track access, at the 2005 Nostalgia Racing - Can Am Thunder event at Pikes Peak International Raceway.

Ron Horning in his beautiful 1965 Lotus Elan S2 keeping ahead of a Porsche 911 coming into the infield road course.

Shot this with a first generation Canon Rebel and a Tamron 70mm-300mm low budget lens. Went for an oil painted look with this treatment.
