I have an engineering degree and MBA from the University of Texas. I am a serial entrepreneur, have successfully built and sold two small companies, and have produced a short documentary for my race group (Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing). I started racing in 2003 and have raced with several vintage groups around the country. I have experienced some of the finest road race tracks in the world. I am also a self-taught mechanic and have built 3 race cars from the ground up: a 1967 Mustang, a 1968 Camaro, and a 1971 corvette. I have experienced first hand the difficulties involved with car restoration, race car engineering/prep, the vintage racing spirit, and the nuances of the vintage racing circuit.
What car(s) do you own?
I currently race a 1971 Corvette big block. I have previously raced a 1968 Camaro, and a 1966 Mustang.
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I vintage race with Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing (CVAR), and also with SVRA.
What clubs do you belong to?
I belong to CVAR.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
I am trying to create a docudrama series for cable TV featuring everyday people and their exciting yet little known hobby of vintage car racing. From drivers on shoestring budgets to the wealthy on unlimited budgets, Vintage Racer will document the camaraderie, adrenaline, breakage, frustration, and above all... the historic cars themselves.
What vintage, historic, classic etc. cars would you like to own?
I am mostly interested in vintage production cars. However, I also appreciate many of the open wheel formula cars as well.
