I am a vintage race car enthusiast with one foot on the ground and the other one on the gas pedal. I am driving in a Prewarcar league in Sweden with my 1935 Riley TT Sprite Birdcage “Replica”. I am working in the IT-business and the prewar car restoration and competing is great way of relaxation. I have also started the largest project of my life time. I am building an replica of a land speed racer, like Napier-Railton, Brutus, Babs, etc. I am using a Isotta-Fraschini V12 Aircraft engine from 1938, 26 liter, twin cam and supercharged and 800BHP. Despite my time consuming work and hobby I am marriage since 33 years ago and I have 3 wonderful grown up children.
What car(s) do you own?
1925 Mathis GM Sport (see profile picture)'
1929 Ford A Racer (Bugatti Body and OHV Ardun head)
1935 Riley TT Sprite "Birdcage" Replica. (6 cyl. Twin Cam)
1935 Arburn Speedster "Replica" and a towing car when going to competition events.
1938 Isotta-Fraschini/Delage "Landspeed Racer"
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I am doing prewarcar racing, in what we call "Nordic Cup" We are approximately 10 drivers from Sweden and Denmark competing with Bugatti´s, MG K3´s and Riley Brooklands. See the link.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Me and my race collegues would like to participate in abroad competitions. We went with 6 cars to Prescot Hill 2008 and we would like to continue to do this type of competition.
I have seen the original Napier-Railton at the Brooklands Museum in Weybrifge, Surrey England - it is indeed - a beast :-)))
I wish you every success with your Isotta-Fraschini V12 Aircraft engine based car and look forward to seeing more photos and videos as your complete the restoration.
