About Me:
I love cars, racing, traveling, meeting other "gearheads" and just having fun. I have raced everything from F2000, to GT3 & GT4 cars, set hillclimb records in Oregon, autocross class championships, and instructed at driving schools at tracks on the west coast. Now I'm here in Florida and I'm just getting to meet the local "car guys" after living on the west cost for 40 years. Looking forward to meeting all those who love old cars and racing!!
What car(s) do you own?
I own a '78 Datsun 280Z with a Chevy LS6 (Covette Z06) and everything is custom or performance oriented. It's a street car that eats up many cars on the race track.

2000 BMW 540i 6 speed, M Sport with M5 limited slip diff, Eibach/Bilstein suspension and it's still solid with 196k miles, track days and even a hillclimb. ;-)

I drive a '73 Dodge Challenge Petty Kit car and the '70 Dodge Challenger Factory Trans-Am car (Sam Posey) at some vintage events or any other car that I'm am fortunate enough to get in to. ;-)
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I have run the Monterey Historics in Historic Trans-Am with George Folmer and Parnelli Jones in their Boss 302 Mustangs while I was in the 'Cuda, but I'd like to do it again. I'd like to drive at Goodwood again and then drive at tracks I haven't been to before like Road America, Watkins Glen and Lime Rock.
What clubs do you belong to?
SCCA Pro Racing, Sarasota Cafe Racers www.sarasotacaferacers.com
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
I would like to race every weekend in both vintage and pro racing events at every track in the world. Is that asking too much? ;-)

    Gary,

Welcome to MyVRL!  Thanks for attending the RMVR Trans Am Invitational event a few years back and speaking at our dinner that evening.

Jess Neal with our club has been doing a great job running his #42 Cuda tribute car in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb for the past three years.  That's another one you should add to your must do list.

    Best regards,
