I went to my first race in March 1963 at Sebring. In those days the race cars were garaged in the town of Sebring and driven to the track. I was 14 and had never been to a race, except stock cars in Tampa. On the way into the track, we were passed by a Ferrari GTO. We were in a 1956 Pontiac, and I had never seen or HEARD anything so beautiful. I've been hooked ever since. I also don't believe I have heard or seen anything so beautiful since - except my wife and daughter, of course.
When the race started, there were more Ferrari GTOs, and Ferrari Prototypes. The first lap was led by Phil Hill in a Coba, followed by the first Chaparrals. What a day, what a time.

What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Racing Photography and work on my BMWs. With older cars there is always something to do. New cars are kind of boring, unless they're really fast.
