    O.K. Stephen,
If you send me your personal e-mail to tommalone@comcast.net
I will get you to my pbase and the password for race to the summit.
This password is private so don't pass it on. If the drivers from pikes peak are interested they can also e-mail me. subject: race to the summit.
This is a legal issue with the PPIHC that I would not post pictures for the general public. I posted one shot on
google earth and removed it after about a day. Thanks Tom

Tom, its great to hear from someone that understands what the car is about. The AAR group only raced Cudas in '70 so I tried to make mine look like something the AAR team would have raced in '71. We need entrants in the vintage group for '10. If you know of anyone interested have them contact me at the email address used to contact you outside this group. There are lots of pictures of the vintage group archived at ppihc.com, flicker and video on youtube. Type in #42 cuda and 3 videos of my heap will pop up. Thanks and have a safe and happy holiday season, Jess

    Tom;
That would be great if I were able to see them.
    Thx.
    Warmly,

    Tom,
We do plan to go to Pikes Peak this year. So please let me know how your project goes. I have to admit I'm really curious and interested about a Cj on a rally stage.
Hinchman makes very nice vintage replica and custom suits.
We go with a different design approach, and unlike some of the manufacturers, we only utilize inherently flame resistant fiber such as Nomex® or CarbonX® and not cotton or polyester blend treated fabrics (I was personally not happy with the test results of this kind of fabrics).
4 suits! I guess you're covered! But you know, we never have to many suits! ;-D

    Thank you for the link,
    Lot of nice shots!
I have to say, I'm very impressed, it takes some to race a car like Jess' on the dirt inches from the cliff!
But PPIHC is on my list, and it'll be vintage!

I'm not sure just yet, but I have to be able to use it the rest of the year for either road racing and rallies or desert racing.

For while, I had to put racing on the side to focus on my new business.
I did some arrive and drive events with the Jim Russell at Sears Point (now Infineon) and road race a specmiata on the west coast as well as my S2000. As a coach I have the chance to drive and ride in a lot of different cars, and I realized that vintage is what's move me. Now that I have a little more time, I want to go back in the racing seat and promote the company at the same time. So I was looking at early race mustang. Seeing your jeep made me think (our suits are for vintage but the design is perfect for desert racing too.), and a Bronco (think Bill Stroppe) or jeepster commando c101 could be nice and different.

Thanks to you Tom, I'm learning a lot about the origin of off-road racing. Can we find any links about these jeeps, sounds like an interesting concept.

    Tom,
We have a local hill climb club, Colorado Hill Climb Association. Their web site is: http://www.chcaracing.com
In addition to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb they have 3-4 other races each year. I haven't made it to one of their other hill climb events yet. The other events are all on non-paved mountain roads or off-road closed course facilities. They have a fairly active member forum here:

Let me know what Chris thinks of the book. I hope he enjoys it - you put a lot of time and effort into it.

Great photos on your page here!
