Hi Dougie, Thanks for the nice comments. I've raced the car since almost right after the Tahoe event. We won the championship in CVAR group 4VA in '06 and '07. The most fun drive we had was at VIR for the Gold Cup event in June of '06.The car has gone through a lot of updates and became a real dream to drive. Unfortunately we had a severe shunt at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Nov '07. The car is being re-painted now and our plan is re-join the CVAR scehdule either at Texas World Speedway (TWS) the end of February or at Hallett the end of March, at this juncture it really depends on the painter. By the way I really enjoyed your video, the car sounds tight and strong. We hope to meet you in the not too distant future, Chris

Doug, That explains a lot about the video. I kept watching and wondering why you didn't take the 100 on the straights. The addition of the 3rd SU HD8 should help a lot, will your cam handle the extra supply? The Ruddspeed manifolds were very good in their day too. I run 3 Weber 45DCOE's on my car and on a long straight they just seem to pull and pull right up to the red line...it's really amazing. Many years ago I sat with an English fellow at an auction in Tulsa. Turned out that he'd raced in the UK and in Europe and he said that in his experience the SU would pull just as strong as the Weber when set up correctly and after driving against some 3000's set up that way I'd tend to agree. Keep me posted on your progress, Chris

Yeah I remember, I was stationed in Coos Bay back in 79-82, Loved every minute of it. Were you at the baxter vintage races a few years back?
We had one of our 2.5 challenge races at PIR.

Cool! We (myself and Steve Link ) were at the 2003 historic races I was crewing for Steve on his 510 but they had us pitting in the infield wich was OK untill you had to get a tire balanced and you could not drive to the outside of the track because of the car parades going on jeez that sucked.

My brother races out of Calgary, Alberta in a Red over Black 100-M - usually # 09. Participated in the last Healey Challenge winning an award fro completing the most races in a 100. Raced at Mosport this past June until transmission broke - repaired and raced at Mid-Ohio and Road America. The car is a very original 100-M and he is the second owner.
