FYI - I'm the co-founder of The Vintage Racing League.
I owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford. I currently own and race a 1980 March Formula Atlantic and intend to rebuild and race a 1977 Shadow DN8 F1 car.
I race with CVAR in the Southwest.
I live in Dallas.
VRL Factoids:
An estimated 4 million people in the USA own Vintage, Historic, Classic and Antique cars (10 million world-wide).
The USA is home to 79 million Baby Boomers. Every day, 50,000 retire.
There are 27 Vintage Race Clubs in the US that stage an estimated 170 events per year.
Today, approximately 30,000 members in the 27 Clubs race Vintage cars.
We want to get more people into Vintage racing and a primary purpose of this site is dedicated to that goal.
Even if people do not race, they are welcome to attend events and learn more about the compelling nature of motorsports and it's history..

- 1977 Shadow F1 DN8 (in restoration), 1980 March Formula Atlantic, my first car - a 1954 Jensen Interceptor, 1981 Kougar Sports Car, MB ML 500, MB 500S. Previously owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford.

We'd appreciate our website being added to the links session of your website. We also invite all members to stop by the Center either when they are racing at the Glen or just vacationing in the beautiful Finger Lakes area of New York state
The Center is open Monday-Saturday from 9AM-5PM all year long and is an invaluable resource for interested or involved in the vintage racing scene. The is no admission charge,but as we receive no federal,state,or local support,donations are always welcome. I also think that 2009 Opening Day at Watkins Glen International will be of interest to the many Mark Donohue fans out there. It's a small damn world isn't it? Whereabouts in England?
I was thinking it'd be helpful To Cris Vandergrif who puts on the historic races here if I signed up and also keep me in touch with what else is going on in Vintage racing. Gill Campbell who runs Laguna Seca (another Brit) is one of my oldest and best friends in this country, certainly my cutest oldest friend by quite a bit.
She and I covered the centennial of the London to Brighton in 1996. I'd still like to run that one day but all the eligible cars are in six figures now, except for the curve dash Olds.

PS: I remembered I've always wanted a big pre-war Tatra T77. After Citroen DS19s, where else can you go? That's a shameless badge ripoff to try and call that new hatchback a DS. Just think how good a DS could be now with all the modern tech. It would actually work ALL the time, instead of being like Woody Allen's girlfriend quote "She was crazy 27 days out of the month, but Oh those other three days..."

Is there a way we can adjust the height:width ratio to preserve the correct perspective of photos on our pages? Most are like the Altes Forsthaus two comments below - squeezed. Is that a result of certian files sizes, or types of files?
Also, for those of us with split auto-personalities, is there a way to change the "signature" image from group to group? E.g., my Turner is my general "sig." But, on the Alfa group I would rather have my Alfa as my "sig."
