The Vintage Racing League is the leading online community for people who love racing and cars. Its free to join.
Members connect with people that share a love of specific marques or types of cars (e.g. Vintage, Historic, Classic, Antique,Formula Ford, Can-Am, Trans-Am, GT and/or Historic Formula One cars).
The VRL helps members find difficult to locate parts, restoration resources, race events and car clubs in your area.
You can exchange pictures and race videos and find "same car soulmates".
I look forward to seeing some of your vintage race video's.
FYI - I'm the co-founder of The Vintage Racing League.
I owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford. I currently own and race a 1980 March Formula Atlantic and intend to rebuild and race a 1977 Shadow DN8 F1 car.
I race with CVAR in the Southwest.
I live in Dallas.
VRL Factoids:
An estimated 4 million people in the USA own Vintage, Historic, Classic and Antique cars (10 million world-wide).
The USA is home to 79 million Baby Boomers. Every day, 50,000 retire.
There are 27 Vintage Race Clubs in the US that stage an estimated 170 events per year.
Today, approximately 30,000 members in the 27 Clubs race Vintage cars.
We want to get more people into Vintage racing and a primary purpose of this site is dedicated to that goal.
Even if people do not race, they are welcome to attend events and learn more about the compelling nature of motorsports and it's history..
About: WWW.THEVRL.COM
We created a place where owners and lovers of vintage, historic, classic and antique cars could find each other, exchange pictures, videos and information about how to fix, restore, and race cars.
Ask your friends to join the Vintage Racing League @ www.thevrl.com.
Feel free to create new groups, post pictures for us all to share and share the site with your friends.
Welcome to the Vintage Racing League.
Warmest regards - Stephen Page

I have a question.
I do not find the logo of the United States Auto Club.
From the years 70 - 80.
This is a shield with 2 flags and with the words United States Auto Club.
Not the USAC logo!
Do you know where I this can find?
I am delighted you have setup a place for vintage racers to hang out in (we need the support group). I will be adding lots of video and pics as soon as I get them organized.
The Jag festival is a fantastic event that draws people from as far away as Pittsburgh and Canada. We expect about 100 cars.
Hey Stephen! Hope you are having a great time in England. I have been working nonstop on the backend trying to optimize it so that we can allow for a larger media stream. Also I have made some progress on the login page. Nothing is visible yet, all backend. Hope to have something to show you once you get back. Have a great holiday! Travis
I shall be there, best meet in the lounge bar which is accessed by the doors to the right of the arch. There is a small car parking area through the arch, but it might be full. If you need parking directions elsewhere call me on 0781 409 44 11. I shal be wearing a light coloured body warmer and carrying a black brief case
Thanks a lot, I'm a new "imigrant" working for the "automotive" for the past 20 years (as supplier), now that I'm in the US I hope to have some time to enjoy old car racing! Nice web site! I will be trravelling in Arizona and south California for New Years Eve Week and expect to spot some nice cars!
Good luck on the DN8. I loved my DN11, but sold it to buy an Alfa 179B F1. Big mistake. I know Don Nichols pretty well, and he has lots of parts, so if you need an intro let me know.
BTW, I have a racing sailboat also called Shadow. I'll send you some pix. P
Thank you Stephen. It's just something I use to keep me busy during the warm summer weekends up here in the Northeast. I feel a little out of place in here though, with me being a drag racer and most of what I see in here are road course style.
How is everything. I did speak to Joe the other night about adding Bondurant to our site. I have run into a couple of snags with editing the front login section. I am going to have to redesign the layout because currently the login page is not designed to handle a large table layout. What we might have to do is build a separate page to handle those side items.
Got a new Easter egg for you. I have just released MyVRL's new Advanced Member search based on user profile questions. Go to the members page and at the top next to search you will see "Advanced Search" Here you can type in any data you want and our database will display the results. One of the most dynamic search features for a social network. Merry Christmas!
Stephen,
I'm glad to be on board too. This is a nice site you've put together. I will be looking at geting an ad to run and will frequent the site. I'm excited about the coming season.
Thanks
Chris
I should prob. change my photo for something a little more in keeping ... I've unearthed a shot of me aboard my Lotus at Riverside I think would be more suitable. How do I go about r and r'ing this shot? THANKS -Stokes
hi Stephen, would that be OK? I wouldn't want to tread on anyone's toes, 'advertising' and all that. How about I send you a copy of a couple of things I've done on DVD?
Please feel to e-mail me at gary@yesterdaysracers.com
Thanks for finding me and inviting me to your web site. I've only been here for a few hours and already love it. I think it's great what you have done to get racers involved in this hobby.
I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone on this forum and possibly get some track time at one of your events.
Thanks for welcoming me. I found your web site on speedtv.com. Hopefully, other vintage racers will become more familiar with RMVR and want to join us on the race tracks of Colorado, including Pike's Peak.
Hi Stephen
This is great. I will do my best to be a good supporting member. By the way if you have any lubrication issues or you need some answers or opinions on oil & lubrication in general just let me know. I have been doing this for 27 years in Canada and may be able to answer some of those grey area questions you or your buddies have. See you at the track

Hey Stephen! Nice site on old cars. Look forward to keeping up with it. I am the owner of www.BuyOldCars.com and I invite you and everyone else to visit. I am in process of having a classified car listing system programmed and installed at my site. I plan allow ads for free to individual sellers. I would appreciate you and anyone else coming out and listing your cars for sale. I hope to have it running in next 2 weeks. Also working on a classic car parts section, as well a classic car video section. I walcome anyone here to come by and to also become friends through this network. I don't own a classic car (young father of 3), but I have a deep appreciation for them... I also help folks sell their cars on my site. I get 2000 plus visits a day (at the moment) usually so there are a lot of people coming through.. take it easy Stephen and thanks for inviting me!
Stephen, Looking over the Formula Ford history page I felt compelled to offer the following information: Between 1979 and 1987,the following drivers earned championships in the European Formula Drivers Association (EFDA). Formula Ford 1600
1979 John Village Team Owner JVA
1982 Volker Weidler Ex F1 Racer
1986 JJ Lehto F1/Le Mans winner
While Roberto Moreno (1980) never won a Formula Ford Championship, his career has been long and varied.
Formula Ford 2000
1979 Adrian Reynard FF/F1/Indy Car/Sports Car Designer
1981 Tommy Byrne F1/Sports Car racer
1982 Ayrton Senna Multiple F1 World Champion
1984 Mauricio Gugelmin F1 and Indy Car racer
1986 Mark Blundell F1 and Indy Car racer
1987 JJ Lehto F1/Le Mans winner
I left out the Opel Lotus Champions for the obvious reason. However, a visit to www.fastlinesinternational.com and a click on the EFDA button will be worth the visit.
Hi Stephen,
Initially i thought you hosted the ff site, sorry about that. The Elden is owned by my chum Prof Monson in New York and I will probably race it to see if I can get up Amanda Whitticker's exhaust pipe, unless of course it sells. It had a complete rebuild and new Bold engine last year. What do you think its worth here in the UK?
Regards Simon D.
Stephen, Thanks for the invitation to join your site, I am sure that I will enjoy it! While I am currently involved in vintage motorcycles, specifically vintage Bultaco dirt bikes, I feel that in the future I would like to delve into cars. I am particularly interested in the progress of the Liberty Motorsports Park which, if ever completed will bring a road racing venue into the Houston area. Do you have any updates on this project?
Thanks,
Gary Davis
Thanks for the invite! We'll spread the word.
I enjoy making parts for the vintage racing machines, whether they be cars, airplanes, motorcycles, bicycles or boats.
Thanks again, Jerry Turner, Nostalgic Reflections nosref@peoplepc.com
Thank you for the note. I will add some more information on my current cars. BTW, the pix you see is my last S2, a Lola SR71 which I kept at Sears Point for several years. Previously I had also owned an '84 Tiga (also S2) and a Van Diemen (Formula Continental).
Thanks for the note. Your site is very well done and I wish you much success. I will help spread the word. We appreciate your business with Heacock Classic. FH
We haven't kept a database for emails- we are slowly getting more technology in the office- but that is one of the things that sits on the backburner until someone has time to do it.
Hi Stephen, Thanks for the welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed my photos. I don't have subscribers on the sites, they are open to all. Typically, during the racing season, there are over 2000 visitors a day to my sites. Thanks again, John
