The Vintage Racing League is the leading online community for people who love racing and cars. Its free to join.
Members connect with people that share a love of specific marques or types of cars (e.g. Vintage, Historic, Classic, Antique,Formula Ford, Can-Am, Trans-Am, GT and/or Historic Formula One cars).
The VRL helps members find difficult to locate parts, restoration resources, race events and car clubs in your area.
You can exchange pictures and race videos and find "same car soulmates".
I look forward to seeing some of your vintage race video's.
FYI - I'm the co-founder of The Vintage Racing League.
I owned and raced a 1975 Crossle Formula Ford. I currently own and race a 1980 March Formula Atlantic and intend to rebuild and race a 1977 Shadow DN8 F1 car.
I race with CVAR in the Southwest.
I live in Dallas.
VRL Factoids:
An estimated 4 million people in the USA own Vintage, Historic, Classic and Antique cars (10 million world-wide).
The USA is home to 79 million Baby Boomers. Every day, 50,000 retire.
There are 27 Vintage Race Clubs in the US that stage an estimated 170 events per year.
Today, approximately 30,000 members in the 27 Clubs race Vintage cars.
We want to get more people into Vintage racing and a primary purpose of this site is dedicated to that goal.
Even if people do not race, they are welcome to attend events and learn more about the compelling nature of motorsports and it's history..
About: WWW.THEVRL.COM
We created a place where owners and lovers of vintage, historic, classic and antique cars could find each other, exchange pictures, videos and information about how to fix, restore, and race cars.
Ask your friends to join the Vintage Racing League @ www.thevrl.com.
Feel free to create new groups, post pictures for us all to share and share the site with your friends.
Welcome to the Vintage Racing League.
Warmest regards - Stephen Page

What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
Race with CVAR in the Southwest.
Attend as many Vintage, Historic and Concours events as possible each year, to include the Monterey Historics, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and the Goodwood Revival.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Improve my Vintage and Historic racing skills. Share the unique history, passion and excitement of vintage/historic racing via the VRL and expose as many people as possible to the sport.
Dear Bob
1954 Jensen Interceptor - They only made 88 of them. There's probably 3-5 left.
They were the ugliest car, but the first 100+ mph touring car in the UK. Its in Dallas if you're interested.

This is by far the best site out there! I have worked with many CTO and CIO and I can say I have never seen anything like this. This is by far better than MySpace or Facebook. I see your developers also included the ability to post video. This is HUGE!! No other site out there has this capability! I wish you the best!!
All interesting as I jump into your community space, this is really cool and is activating my mind which is scary thing...
I have staged you with Ken as we discussed it may take some time before he circles as he is a traveler.
I was just think your web site would be fun to stage on the BBC as I have been watching Top Gear with my wife for the last couple months.. I could see some of their show being linked into this web site to start a community of vintage cars lovers around the world.
Anyway I think Jeremy Clarkson would connect with this given his passion for fast cool cars check out www.topgear.com, happy to stage let me know your thoughts.
Stephen -- we had a great time!!! Thank you for dinner. I did realize after dinner that we did not get to know Mary at all. Don't know what she does for work or for play. Apologize to her for us.
Dear Stephen,
Thank you so much for your welcome. This truly is the best site I have ever seen! Well done. I noticed you had video capibility with this site as well as a feature that allows me to sync with my flickr account. This is great news!! I am completly sold on your site. It's very professional and the message is clear! I am not that computer literate but your site is by far the easiest to work with. Thumbs up to your developers!!
Thanks for posting the recent series of videos. I can't wait to see some of the La Carrera drivers compete at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb this summer. Great job on the VRL and myVRL web sites. You and Travis have done an outstanding job.
Stephen,
I joined VRL mere minutes ago, how could I resist?
This looks to be the standard for vintage auto websites,
great job to all for the fabulous photos and videos and site
design.
Will return soon and often.
Hope to meet you at a race in the near future.
Hello Stephen.
Exposure is what I need. I have been pace car at a number of events, as well as provided hot laps at events to promote various charities, reward flaggers and add to the spectator enjoyment of vintage events.
Am open to any suggestion that can promote vintage race events and of course, provide more visibility for my Allard.
Cheers,
Hi Stephen. We love your site. I wanted to try and let the community know that we will be hosting on mini-auction online April 23-30 adn we welcome their bids. We will have 68 lots of automobile memorabilia. Thanks and we alos look forward to a great relationship with you and yur website.

Hello Stephen, Jim Aust (Steve Aust's nephew) here. Great looking site! Hope we can do many great things together in the future! Jim Aust, SO-CAL Speed Shop Los Angeles President
Stephen, this is an awesome site - there are some great cars on here. I wanted to invite some members to view our online auction starting tomorrow. It is a mini-auction with 68 lots of vintage/racing automobile memorabilia. Do you know how I could send an invitation to everyone at once?
Hi Stephen
I will start showing the site to a few collector clubs in mexico and to the president of the FIA chapter, once we get a critical mass of mexican member we can think about sponsors, events, etc.
my best regards
enrique
Hi again Stephen
Yes I can contact Pablo Gonzalez Sada, is he already a member in this site?

British Car Week is open for all, and is not member based, but someday I would like to add a British Car Week blog of some sort. Any ideas? Thanks for the invite and comment about the car. Now that I'm a member, I'm looking forward to learning more about the VRL.

Hello Stephen, I am heading to UCSD today as I am going to be teaching our SEM course at the University! Yes I can now say I am a professor of sorts... Will be back later this afternoon.... Do you have my Cell number? If not get if from Dan at SEO Inc....
Stephen:
You may owe Len a free dry cleaning for his driver's suit from Eagle's Canyon this last weekend. I don't think he wants to see a March in a spectacular power slide up close in Turn 11 ever again.
Stephen:
Yes, Len Mills can jump. He should be a shoe-in candidate for the CVAR high jump champ-he may have even Olympic potential, but I believe it will take you and the March again to recreate the same results.
You have the potential to be a world-class "track and field" trainer.
Sincerely,
Brian
Hey Lord P,
Thanks for the note, great to hear from you! Is it possible for myvrl.com to have private messaging as opposed to the current style where all messages are for public viewing?
Hope your racing is going well!
Michael
I don't have a car to race. I have been working corners this year for Corinthian events (TWS, Hallett, ECR). My wife has worked the last two as well. That is about all I can afford to do. We have been working grid at the SCCA events at Texas Motor Speedway since it is close by. We also worked last weekend for the Porsche club event at ECR.
Hey Lord P! I know your website is based on 'vintage' racing cars, but most 'modern' social utility sites allow for private messaging! Up on the wheel my friend! Cheers Michael

Stephen, thanks for the welcome, this site is all new to me, but, think it is a very good idea. We old car drivers need somewhere for open discussions..Renny

I did this one up in the '80s. During the tie of the miner's strike in the UK I purchased this car along with a few Mercs - 280sl, 230sl, and 250sl.
Many problems to overcome, but as with most restorations patience and resourcefulness are the key.
My web site - Carsonline.com.au was set up primarily to cater for restorers and club activities.
I hope I can get some activity on the site from visitors to these pages.
Regards,
BIll

It took eight years to put this car back on the road, but well worth it for the sheer fun of driving and showing.
Certainly not an exotic automobile, but rare in any case. About 330 left in the US.
