In April at the very challenging track called Infineon ( but we vintage racers prefer to call it Sears Point) there will be three days of vintage Volvo racing in their very own run group. We will run with prestigious CSRG and they will have an all vintage Alfa group that weekend as well as our Marque.
We will have 444s, 544s, 142s, P1800s, Volvo powered Marcos and some very unique Volvo powered sports racers. My list has 56 cars from all over US and Canada. Realistically we expect about 25-30 cars.
We have three sponsors so far: IPD (
www.ipdusa.com), Ackerman's Servicing Volvos (backerman@sbcglobal.net) and RSI (info@r-sport.org) but more would be appreciated.
There will be a car corral for Volvo Clubs and interested private road cars, vendor displays and lots of socializing. If you know a vintage Volvo racer he or she should be part of this national gathering.
