- Recorded career-best finish of 17th in the driver championship point standings in the 2011 Sprint Cup Series campaign
- Captured career-high numbers during the 2011 Sprint Cup Series season, including four top-five and eight top-10 finishes and 82 laps led
- First Sprint Cup Series win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the 2011 Brickyard 400
- Joined the Richard Childress Racing family for the 2011 Sprint Cup Series season, piloting the No. 27 Menards Chevrolet Impala
