racing history of my tr2

I am doing a frame-off restoration of a Triumph TR2 (Comm. no. TS 580 L, built in 1953, titled as a 1954). Someone raced the car back in the 1950's, probably in California, and I was wondering if there was any way to learn the racing history of the car. The original color was white, and there were some blue racing stripes on it. Can anyone help me on this?

That's a tough one. I found this website, http://wsrp.ic.cz/natus1955.html#12, that shows several guys racing TR2's in California in E Production.

Alan: Do you have any old paperwork, such as titles, which came with the car? You might be able to trace previous owners, who might have documentation such as logbooks.
