Is anyone interested in helping save Speed on Tweed in Australia?

This great community event has been running for 10 years, showcasing some of the best historic race cars in Australia in a closed street circuit in the town of Murwillumbah. Its a bit like Australia's answer to the Goodwood Festival of speed. More info is at www.speedontweed.com

It recently joined with Rally Australia to run the 2009 and 2010 events, but the WRC event has now moved towns because of green protesters. That means that event has lost its key backer.

Anyway if anyone knows of a company who would back a great community based event, or is just keen to keep historic racing going perhaps yopu could get in touch. I've got no vested interest in the event besides going every year and taking my now young son - family motorsport at its finest. I also have a soft spot for the town and am disappointed to see an event taken away by a, seemingly, undermining few.

Let me know if you ahve ideas for help.

Thanks

Richard
